You have ever known that there is a short-and-funny story about an old-and-folly man called Apang Alui whose name is Jabab. One day, in the early morning, before people had woken up, Apang Alui was asked Tantai, her wife, to gather mushroom. So, he went out alone and brought a basket. He did not know where he must go to gather the mushroom. He just walked and walked through a jungle.
Fortunately, he found a nest of bee. He came to close the nest and tried to gather it. While he tried to gather it, he was stung by the bee. He thought that the mushroom usual sting. So he did not care the wound and still continued gathering them into the basket. Then he returned to his home.
After going back and meeting his wife in kitchen, he told Tantai that mushroom had stung him. Tantai saw that body of Apang Alui was swollen because of bee’s sting. She said that the mushroom had never stung, it was the bee. Then he told Apang Alui to burn the bee if he found it again.
Next day, Apang Alui went to his farm as usually. In his going home’s trip, he found a nod off deer. He thought it was the bee and remembered his wife’s words to burn the bee when he found it again. So he fired up and burnt the deer. The deer woke up and ripped Apang Alui until he was in field of his father-in-law. Few hours later, he was found and cured his father-in-law. Then Apang Alui returned to his home and told his wife that he met her father and the bee had butted him.
Tantai was astonished looking at his husband was hurt in serious condition. She told Apang Alui to stab the deer and to give cigarettes if he found his father-in-law anytime.
The next day came early and in the early morning Apang Alui had woken up and went to his farm as usually and brought a spear. He hoped he could find a bear to be killed that day. Then he returned to his home. In the middle of his returning, he saw something in the field of his father-in-law. He thought it was him wore a black cloth. So, he closed on and just stood behind him. Apang Alui called him and gave the cigarettes to him. But he saw that it was not his father-in-law, it was a big bear. Then we knew what it would be…
Apang Alui returned to his home and told his wife that he had been hurt by a bear that he thought her father in the field. Tantai told Apang Alui to stab the bear if he found it again.
Next day, Apang Alui went to his farm and brought a spear. Until evening had come he saw something in the bushes in his farm. He saw a bear in his farm and took the spear slowly. Then he stabbed it with one throw and it was died.
When Apang Alui was closing on, he was shocked. He saw an old man was lying there, it was his father-in-law. That night Apang Alui’s family was distraught because of death of his father in law and his senselessness.
