It does not matter if we spend our break time with different ways. See these beautiful dragonflies which we name ensibuh in Dayak language in Sejiham. They have different ways in perching. When I took these photographs, I had to come closely and quietly moved my handphone to capture these beautiful moments.
Today’s weather is hot. It is definitely hot. Even the fly has to hide behind a leaf. Even though there is a great problem coming to us, just keep calm and face it with patience, because a hot day in our life will be over when its time comes.
In Sejiram, many people use this plant – senggang – to make tikar (a woven mat) which is used as a daily mat and also to dry paddy during the hot weather. These photographs are the fruit of senggang which can be eaten, even though its taste is sour.
It is believed – by Dayak people in Sejiram – that there is a kind of beautiful mushroom called Kulat Buah as a sign that fruit season will begin soon.
The people in Sejiram know about Gabus Fish – also known as Common Snakehead – and it is named Delak. So, when the luck (keberuntungan) is displayed as the title of this post, many non-native speaker of English especially in Sejiram will think and pronounce it as delak – with d without ð.

When you feel that you are standing alone, there is a part of your life shadowing. You can only feel it if you really realize who you are, because the shadow of your life will be seen clearly by a guidance of the light of life.
This Entuyut – nepenthes – is the smallest Entuyut I have ever seen in my village. The plant grows wildly near my house in Sejiram.
So, I take some photos of the plant and measure its size.
It has 3 cm length.
Many families, especially in Sejiram, use Simpuh or Asam Cekala’ (also known as ginger family) as a flavour of some meats, and it can be mixed with chilli sauce.
